Yes. The BA (Hons) Fashion Business degree is designed to help you develop the entrepreneurial knowledge needed to launch and manage a fashion business. You'll learn how fashion brands operate, explore the commercial, ethical and financial factors that influence success, and develop business plans that respond to market trends and consumer needs. 

Yes. Finance is a key part of the course because understanding commercial performance is essential in the fashion industry. The Strategic Business Planning & Finance module focuses on using financial information and evidence-based analysis to support business decisions, while other modules help you understand how fashion brands improve sales and profitability. 

The BA (Hons) Fashion Business degree is assessed through a range of practical and academic coursework designed to reflect industry practice, not through exams. Depending on the module, assessments may include business reports, presentations, live industry projects, business plans, research assignments and an independent final project. Rather than relying on traditional written exams, the course emphasises applying your knowledge to real business challenges and professional scenarios. 

The accelerated two-year BA (Hons) Fashion Business degree is delivered over two days per week, leaving additional time for independent study, project work and work placements. As a guide, undergraduate students are expected to complete approximately 150 hours of independent study for each 20-credit module and 300 hours of independent study for each 40-credit module. 

Independent study includes reading, research, preparing presentations, completing coursework, analysing case studies and working on live industry projects. 

Graduates develop the commercial, analytical and leadership skills needed for a wide range of careers across the fashion industry. Typical graduate roles focus on the business, strategy and finance side of fashion businesses, including Brand Strategist, Fashion Retail Manager and Buying Admin Assistant. 

Some graduates also go on to launch their own fashion brands or businesses using the entrepreneurial skills developed throughout the course.
